Kathi was raised in Enumclaw, WA., a small town about 30 miles east of Seattle. Growing up she always had a love for animals and was fortunate to have them around.
After marrying her high school love, they moved to Seattle and were blessed with two children. Wanting to give their kids the small-town country life that they had, Kathi and her husband moved back to Enumclaw to raise their children on a small farm surrounded by the outdoors.
In her mid-30s, Kathi was a member of an equestrian drill team for over 4 years. During the last year of her involvement with the team, they were invited to compete at the Calgary Stampede in Canada earning a 2nd place in their division.
After drill team, she actively competed in team penning and team sorting for many years successfully. In addition to her competitive equestrian sports, she has ridden all over with friends enjoying the recreational side of horseback riding.
Kathi has worked in the pet food industry for over 16 years with six of those years as a store manager at a farm and feed store. It was working with Liz at this store that they developed the recipe for Lucky Chicken.
